Adopt Me Food Values
Food items from the current Adopt Me item pool, with community trade values.
Most food items sit at the lower end of the value scale, but limited-time or event food can be worth more than players expect. Check any food item against the rest of a trade with the Adopt Me trade calculator.
Food's Real Job: Aging Up Pets
Food exists to feed pets and move them through their growth stages โ baby, junior, pre-teen, teen, post-teen, and full-grown. That gameplay purpose is exactly why most food sits at the bottom of the value scale: it's a consumable utility item that's cheap and constantly restocked, not a collectible. Players go through large quantities of it just from normal play, which keeps supply high and prices low.
Why a Handful of Food Items Are the Exception
Cheap, always available, used constantly. Practically no trade value beyond its shop price.
Tied to a specific holiday or limited-time event. Once it's gone from the shop, leftover stacks become the rare exception worth checking before you trade them away.
Even low-value food can add up to something meaningful in large quantities โ worth totaling in the calculator rather than dismissing outright.
Using Food in a Trade
Food is one of the more common "filler" items offered to round out a trade. That's usually fine for small amounts, but it's worth actually checking the value here rather than assuming a stack of food is worthless padding โ some retired event food holds more value than players expect.
Food FAQ
Does feeding food change a pet's value?
Feeding food ages a pet up through its growth stages, but the pet's trade value is set by its rarity, variant, and demand โ not directly by how much food went into raising it.
Is it worth stockpiling food?
Generally no for regular shop food, since it's always available. Limited event food is the exception, since supply is capped once the event ends.
Does a specific food type age a pet faster than others?
All food contributes toward aging a pet up through its growth stages, so the choice usually comes down to whichever food you have on hand rather than a meaningful speed difference between types.
